To empower and safeguard vulnerable adults in Ashtabula County by providing compassionate, ethical and person-centered supported decision-making services, guardianship guidance, advocacy and alternative solutions that promote their well-being, dignity, autonomy and overall independence

Our Vision

Our vision is a future where every vulnerable adult in Ashtabula County lives with dignity, security, and the opportunity to make their own choices, supported by an organization that is a model of excellence, collaboration, and advocacy for supported decision making and tools for independence.

Eligibility Criteria: 

  1. Mentally impaired: As a result of a mental or physical illness or disability 
  2. Intellectually Disabled: having a significant limitation in intellectual functioning and adaptive behavior
  3. Chronically Substance Abused: To the extent that they are incapable of taking proper care of themselves, their property or fail to provide for their family.
  4. Confined to a correctional institution: while incarcerated within the state 
  5. Family or advocates
  6. Professionals
